Membership Information
All those affiliated in any way with the Fellowship must subscribe to the purposes of the Fellowship, give the Fellowship spiritual, moral, and financial support, and be duly elected to their class of affiliation. Members receive a subscription to the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars Quarterly, a copy of the proceedings of our annual convention, are included in the membership directory and are subscribed to the Fellowship’s e-mail list service (unless they request otherwise.)
Members of the Fellowship are divided into two classes: Regular and Associate. Either class may opt to become a Perpetual member. The classes are defined as follows:
- Regular members of the Fellowship are those who, in addition to the conditions enumerated above, have an earned doctorate or the equivalent terminal degree (JD, MD, MFA, STD, EdD); engage in scholarly work, intend to be actively involved in the organization, and pay an annual dues fee of $40 each calendar year. In addition to the above benefits, they also have voting rights.
- Associate membership in the Fellowship is open to any person who subscribes to the purposes of the Fellowship and pays an annual dues fee of $35 each calendar year. They receive all of the benefits of regular members, but do no have voting rights.
- Perpetual Membership in the Fellowship, either as a regular or associate member (depending upon qualifications), is granted to those who subscribe to the purposes of the Fellowship and who pay a one-time dues fee of $500.
Those wishing to apply for membership may do so online. Please fill out an application for membership. The Board will consider your application at the Board meeting following receipt. The Board usually meets around the first week of April and the third week of September.
If you are currently a member, but have moved, received a degree, or otherwise wish to update your information on file with the Fellowship, please do so using our online form.
