Position Description:

Faculty Position in Theology

St. John Vianney Theological Seminary invites applications for a full-time faculty position beginning in the fall semester of 2017. Rank and specific area of specialization within the domain of theology is open, but a successful candidate will be able to teach in several areas within the Pre-theology and Theological curriculum. The S.T.L. is required to receive the nihil obstat for a position on this ecclesiastical faculty, an S.T.D., Ph.D. or equivalent is required.

Applicants must excel in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, demonstrate evidence of a willingness to support seminarian formation inside and outside of the classroom and have an active research agenda. The successful candidate is expected to understand, support, and advance the Catholic identity and mission of St. John Vianney and to have a deep commitment to forming seminarians for the Catholic priesthood. In addition, an applicant must be able to make the Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity and be willing to seek and able to receive the mandatum from the Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver.
