Position Description:

The Department of Religious and Theological Studies at Merrimack College invites applications for a Lecturer in Religious and Theological Studies with expertise in Christian Social Ethics. Additional expertise in any of the following is also desirable: Catholic social thought, political theology, sexual ethics, theology of marriage and family, environmental ethics, or comparative theology.

This is a one year, non-tenure track appointment beginning in fall 2017. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D., Th.D., or S.T.D. in the field and must also demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Responsibilities include teaching introductory-level courses in theology and religious studies and courses in social ethics. The successful candidate may be asked to attend department meetings, but will have no other service or advising duties. The course load is 4-4, usually with two preps. This search will remain open until the position is filled. Merrimack College is a 4-year Catholic liberal arts college with strong professional programs in business, science, and education sponsored by the Order of St. Augustine.
